Plastic fantastic

(CLICK ON A PIC AND IT WILL GO BIG)

A game of two halves namely Saturday and Sunday. Both grey with a splash of welcome sunlight every now and then. Saturday was over at Hamwall trying to do a bit of EFRS stuff with very little luck they were all having a bit of a duvet day or should that be nest day!
But anyway there was little to inspire me so you'll have to make do with some hay bails. Yes really hay bails. It was pretty much all there was that caught my eye. Having said all that I'm not blaming the weather. It's the eye that doesn't see the new in the change of light. Work with what you have not wait for what you want.

So I did

Flappy longish exposure and a bit of texture with the 50mm f1.4 Takumar

When the sun did shine I plumped for the cliche with the sun in the reeds with the 135mm f2.5 Takumar.

And a bit more texture with the 50mm f1.4 Takumar again

So after being thoroughly underwhelmed on Saturday I went out to Stolford on the coast just down from Steart. It's a nice spot. Long shingle and rock banks of sea defences and wide far reaching muddy beaches overlooked by the monolith of Hinckley Point. It started with the Takumar 50mm f1.4 on the rock.

This didn't come out as well as I thought but oh well!

I camped down close to a water outlet. I assume its run off rather than sewage!!

Then on to the beach

And back onto the rocks with some serious shapes in them.

Walking back up onto the path I was met with a nice bit of yellow ball action

Final stop before home was this culvert on the path over the water outlet. It was so dark I didn't need to play with the settings much to bet that fuzzy water stuff. I love the colours as well as the geometry in this one.
